Electric Transaxle

Electric Transaxle is a highly integrated electric drive system that combines an electric motor, transmission, differential and electronic control unit (ECU) in a single module. It replaces the engine, transmission and mechanical driveshaft structure of conventional fuel vehicles by directly driving the wheels via electricity.

Its main applications are golf carts, electric tricycles, go-karts, patrol cars, mobile food carts, industrial vehicles (e.g. forklifts, AGVs) and special equipment (e.g. cleaning trucks or construction machinery).

The electric transaxle is a fundamental part of a vehicle's drivetrain and is the backbone of the rear wheels. More than just a support structure, it is a critical power transmission hub. It houses the differential, allowing the rear wheels to rotate at different speeds, which is vital for smooth cornering. In addition to power transmission, the rear axle plays an important role in supporting the weight of the vehicle and integrating with the suspension system.
